GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Troopers say a motorcycle reached speeds of 130 mph during a police chase on Thursday.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers first clocked a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle north on the Jackson Purchase Parkway in Graves County doing 91 mph in a 70 mph zone. This was at the at the 28 mile marker.

The driver was later identified as Brian J. Farmer, 22, of Wingo, Kentucky.

A trooper activated his lights and the Farmer failed to stop to the bike.

Farmer continued into Marshall County. His motorcycle reached a top speed of 130 mph during the pursuit.

The pursuit lasted for 13-miles until reaching Exit 41 on the Parkway. That is where the driver exited the motorcycle onto US 641.

After getting off the exit, Benton Police helped troopers in getting the driver to stop.

Farmer was charged with speeding (26- miles per hour or more over the limit), reckless driving and fleeing/evading police-first degree (class D felony). Farmer was taken to the Marshall County Jail.

Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Benton Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
