Redbirds open 2013 season Thursday at Autozone Park

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Redbirds are excited to kick off the upcoming season at AutoZone Park on Thursday, April 4 with an eight-game homestand against the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Triple-A Astros) and New Orleans Zephyrs (Triple-A Marlins). The promotion-packed homestand will be highlighted by new family-friendly promotions and returning fan-favorites from 2012.

Thursday, April 4 vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:05 p.m.)

Magnet Schedule Giveaway: The first 5,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a 2013 Redbirds magnet schedule, presented by Victory University

Subway Eat Fresh Thursday: Fans can receive a half-price ticket to any Redbirds Thursday regular season home game when presenting in a Subway restaurant receipt, and can also receiving a free sub coupon when exiting after a Redbirds win!

Thursday Night Out: For $15, fans will receive a Field Box ticket, 16 oz. Michelob Ultra beer, and a Michelob Ultra koozie or opener. Available at Box Office and online. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)    

Friday, April 5 vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:05 p.m.)

Redbirds Replica BP Hat: The first 3,000 fans can receive their own Redbirds replica batting practice cap and don it for the game, presented by Mission Foods.

Friday Block Party: Every Friday, gates open early for a Block Party featuring 16oz. Coors Lights for $2 and live music from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Scout Night: Scouts, leaders, and families will camp out at AutoZone Park after the game. Ticket & buffet options are available and all scouts will receive a patch for their experience.

Fred's Family Friday: Fans can save up to $30 on Dugout seats at all Friday Redbirds home games after spending $15 at fred's Super Dollar. Bring your fred's Super Dollar store receipt to the Redbirds box office & receive a $5 discount per ticket. (Limit 6 tickets per receipt).

Saturday, April 6 vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:05 p.m.)

Stan The Man Night & Fireworks: Help the Redbirds honor Cardinals great Stan Musial on the 6TH of April. Stick around for the first of 13 great fireworks shows at AutoZone Park.

Signature Saturday: Select Redbird players will sign autographs for half an hour in the plaza from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Baby Races: The fastest babies in town will race at AutoZone Park in the first of five Baby Races this season presented by Fertility Associates of Memphis.

Sunday, April 7 vs. Oklahoma City RedHawks at 1:35 p.m. (gates open at 12:35 p.m.)

Kids Opening Day: The first family Sunday of the season kicks off with Kids Club packet pickup, the first of 11 Kid's Club Sunday activities.

Kids Run the Bases: Kids 12 and under get to take the field after the game and run like the Redbirds, sponsored by TennDent and Shelby County Health Department.

Monday, April 8 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:05 p.m.)

EAT MOR CHIKIN Monday: Fans can receive $6 off the gameday ticket price at the box office when presenting a Chick-fil-A value meal receipt. Must be redeemed at AutoZone Park Box Office. Limit 4 tickets per transaction.

Malibu Monday: On Mondays at AutoZone Park, fans can purchase a Field Box ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $19, or a Club Level ticket and a Malibu can cocktail for only $24. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)

Tuesday, April 9 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:02 p.m. (gates open at 6:02 p.m.)

"Two"sday: Tuesdays are now "Two"-sdays at AutoZone Park featuring $2 hot dogs, sodas, and popcorn, 2-for-1 ticket specials at the Box Office, special in-game giveaways, and $2 off Budweiser draft products.

Wednesday, April 10 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 6:05 p.m.)

Wet Your Whistle Wednesday: Every Wednesday, fans can receive a Field Box ticket, 16oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon, and a PBR koozie for only $10. (Note: Must be 21 or older to purchase. We I.D.)

Thursday, April 11 vs. New Orleans Zephyrs at 11:05 a.m. (gates open at 10:05 p.m.)

Education Day: Watching baseball can be an educational experience, as thousands of local kids from the Mid-South will be in attendance during this Thursday matinee game, presented by MLGW.
