In Southeast Missouri State's only home meet of the outdoor season, the Redhawks had six total first-place finishes, led by Jerika Leiws breaking her own school record in the 200m.
Lewis crossed the finish line in 23.91, breaking her own school record by one-hundredth of a second. The senior also won the 100m (career-best 11.84) to highlight five first-place finishes for the women's team.
The Redhawks' other event winners for the women were Rebekah Lawson in the 5000m (18:36.99), Jill Schnurbusch in the pole vault (season-high 12-11 1/2) and Maria Trowbridge in her first-career 3000m steeplechase (11:46.28).
The women's 4x400m relay team finished runner-up, while Courtney Gapelu placed second in the shot put.
For the men, Reggie Miller, Jr. won the high jump by clearing 6-8. Blake Carter took second in the long jump and 100m, while Kevin Farley was runner up in the shot put. Freshman Christian Locke placed second in the pole vault with a leap of 15-5.
Southern Illinois won nine total titles at the Joey Haines invite. Kenya Culmer won both the high and triple jumps. Senior Tess Shubert took the 400m hurdles and Kim Fortney won the shot put.
On the men's side, freshman Nikolai Gall won the 400m dash while also leading the 4x400m relay team to a victory.
