LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - With so many staying up late to watch the national championship game Monday night between Louisville and Michigan, fans could have a slow start Tuesday morning. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Louisville will win, something that will mean late night partying for many.

The game starts shortly before 9:30 p.m. In Indianapolis when the Colts were in the Super Bowl in 2010, Indianapolis Public Schools had a two-hour delay. That's because of problems in 2007 when the Colts won the Super Bowl and a number of school bus drivers called in sick. For some of Louisville's biggest employers, Tuesday will be business as usual.

JCPS, GE, and Humana are expecting employees at work on time and alert.

"I'll survive," said UofL fan Joe Haag. "It's not every day you get to watch your team play in the national title game so, you have to suck it up I guess."

"While we understand many of our 11,000 associates in Louisville will be staying up late to cheer on the Cardinals, we also have to respect that our members across the country have different basketball loyalties," said Kate Marx with Humana Corporate Communications. "We will be available to them during our normal hours tomorrow."

UPS is a big supporter of UofL. They have a number of students and fans who will be working Monday night and they want to make sure they aren't missing out.

"They are going to want to see the game just like we all will," said UPS spokesperson Mike Mangeot. "So, we are going to be setting up extra TVs in our operation and ordering pizza having our folks come in early so they can see the game and sort packages afterwards."

No matter what the outcome, Cards fans say it's a great time to be proud of both our men and women's team.

"Doesn't happen often but, it happens," said Haag. "When it happens and it's in your city it's a big thing."
