Guan feeling no pressure as he becomes youngest Masters player

AUGUSTA, GA (WALB) -

The talk of Monday's practice rounds was 14 year old Tianlang Guan, who may be the first Masters competitor who brought homework to the tournament.

Guan won the 2012 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship to qualify for the Masters, and his young age, he says he doesn't feel any intimidated walking onto golf's biggest stage.

"It's going to be a lot of pressure on me, but I'm not going to push myself too hard," he says. "I'm just going to enjoy the game."

Guan has already left an impression on many players.

On Monday morning, Guan played a practice round with two-time Masters champ Ben Crenshaw.

"You can tell he breathes golf," Crenshaw raved about the young man. "He's very intent, a good concentrator. But you have to be if you're going to beat a lot of people [in Asia]."

Later in the day, Guan walked the course with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson.

Only 14, Guan continues to show maturity and confidence beyond his age.

"I have the confidence and I know I can play well," Guan says. "I'm going to play like myself and not try to do too much."
