Iroquois Steeplechase Lookbook ready for big reveal

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A tradition Nashville has celebrated for more than 70 years is just a few weeks away, and soon you can get your own preview of the world-famous Iroquois Steeplechase.

The Steeplechase Lookbook showcases the fashions - hats, jewelry and food - that many people will be sporting that day at the track, and it contains more about the history of the event and the benefactors - Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.

"The Lookbook kind of helps get people excited a month before the race and really helps kick off spring," said Lookbook co-creator Eric Viars.

The Lookbook will be unveiled during the Lookbook Fashion Show Thursday night at the War Memorial Auditorium then will be available for pickup at about 100 locations around town.

A new addition to the Steeplechase is sure to be music to the ears of parents with small children.

The new alcohol-free area will be packed with games and activities for kids and parents alike. It's absolutely free to anyone attending the race.
