2.2 magnitude quake shakes southern Illinois

MACEDONIA, IL (KFVS) -

A small earthquake shook southern Illinois on Friday.

The Center for Earthquake Research and Information in Memphis recorded a 2.2 magnitude earthquake five miles east of Macedonia, Illinois at 11:49 a.m. Friday.

The quake was five miles west, southwest of McLeansboro, Illinois and 8.6 miles deep.
