Eddyville woman accused of smuggling contraband into prison

An Eddyville woman is accused of smuggling contraband into the Kentucky State Penitentiary.

Angela M. Scott, 44, of Eddyville, was charged Tuesday with promoting contraband (class D felony), and Bribery of a Public Servant (class C felony). Scott was lodged in the Caldwell County Detention Center.

Police say Scott works for Trinity Services Group, which is contracted by the Kentucky Department of Corrections for certain food services at the Kentucky State Penitentiary.

The investigation continues by Detective Cory Jessup, in cooperation with the Kentucky State Penitentiary and the Department of Corrections.
