2 charged after massive search in Scott City

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) -

Sheriff Rick Walter says two people have been charged in connection with a massive search in Scott City Thursday afternoon.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said two Scott City men have been arrested on drug related charges. 

Ryan C. Cook, 25, of Scott City, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, escape from custody, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.  Bond was set at $25,000.

Timothy S. Farrow, 52, of Scott City, was  charged with distribution of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.  Farrow was released by the court on a summons to appear May 7, 2013. 

According to Walter, Thursday afternoon, as a part of an ongoing drug investigation, deputies served a search warrant at a Scott City residence.

Cook and Farrow were both taken into custody during the service of the search warrant. 

Walter says deputies found controlled substances and paraphernalia commonly used to ingest controlled substances inside the home.  While deputies were conducting the search, Walter says Ryan Cook managed to escape from a patrol car. 

Cook was found a short time later in a nearby home and again taken into custody.
