ALTO PASS, IL (KFVS) -

The 21st Annual Blessing of the Bikes at Bald Knob Cross of Peace in Alto Pass, Illinois drew thousands of people from nearby states on Sunday.

Riders had their bikes blessed for a safe travel.

Riders say this is a unique experience, which celebrates the joy of goodwill and riding.

"It's not about what kind of bike you have," said Tim Fletcher of O'Fallon, Illinois. "As long as it's two wheels, some are three, but it's still a bike. American, custom, we are all here for the same thing-the enjoyment of just riding. "

Activities included a prayer, vendors selling a variety of items and road kill stew and chili was served.

All of the money donated goes back into the funds for Bald Knob Cross.
