CAIRO, IL (KFVS) -

The Cairo High School TECH Team will present the Alexander County Tourism Video at a technology fair at the Illinois State Capitol on Tuesday, May 7.

TECH 2013 is a technology fair at the Illinois State Capitol facilitated through Illinois Computing Educators to allow computing educators around the state to share technology ideas in the classroom.

The students created segments on the Riverlore, Magnolia Manor, A.B. Safford Memorial Library, Custom House, Fort Defiance, St. Mary's Park, Sumner High School, Old Thebes Courthouse, Tamms Depot, and the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge.

A $500 grant was written through the Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative Classroom Empowerment Grant to purchase a video camera and digital camera to produce the project.
