POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

The suspect in a shooting in Poplar Bluff was arrested early Friday morning.

According to the Poplar Bluff Police Department, Ryan Harvey, 31, was arrested around 2 a.m. on County Road 481 in Poplar Bluff after being located by the Poplar Bluff Police Department, the Butler County Sheriff's Office and the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Harvey was taken to the Butler County Jail and was charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action.

Poplar Bluff police had responded to a report of shots fired Thursday evening on Kinzer Street in Poplar Bluff.

Police say around 4:17 p.m. they arrived at the scene where Jeremy Vaughn, 25, had three gunshot wounds. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
