SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

An early morning incident sent three males to the hospital who were attending a high school graduation party.

Sgt. Michael Reed told CBS 3 that officers were responding to a motor vehicle accident on Wilbraham Road when two stabbing victims alerted them to the situation on Maybrook Road.

The victims, one stabbed in the hand, the other stabbed twice in the stomach, were driving to get help.

Reed said an uninvited guest was attempting to crash the party.

When police arrived they found a third victim who had been hit in the head with a brick.

CBS 3 spoke with homeowner Anthony Trabal, who said the party was for his son's graduation.

"I just want to make sure that they understand clearly not to come back to this street again," said Trabal. "I am a retired Springfield police officer, the police department does know what happened. An investigation is out and about. They are going to get caught and justice will be held."

Trabal believes a gang was involved in the attack and that they found out about the party through social networking.

Having been a police officer, Trabal said he has seen these kinds of attacks before, but it has a much different feeling with his family involved.

"My family is good kids," Trabal stated. "They work hard in school. They are not on the street. They are good kids. It is unfortunate what happened. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of this very shortly."

When CBS 3 last checked on Sunday, the male who was stabbed twice remained hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.

The other two victims have since been treated and released from Baystate Medical Center.

Police are looking for a 2-door, white Toyota Solara, which may have a connection to the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
