    A proposal to devote $100 million in state construction funds to help land President Barack Obama's presidential museum and library will be the focus of a legislative hearing.

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

Two sheriff's offices in western Kentucky will be auctioning off seized property on Saturday.

According to McCracken County Sheriff Jon Hayden, the McCracken and Graves County Sheriff's Offices will be having a first ever joint Sheriff's auction this Saturday May 18.

To comply with court orders, they will sell property seized in drug investigations in the area. 

Property being sold consists of cars, pickups, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, scooters and a couple of collector-type vehicles. A 1963 Chevrolet Impala SuperSport fully original that contains the original owners manual is included in the long list of vehicles to be sold. 

In addition to vehicles, there will be jewelry, rare coins, collectable type baseball cards, a large variety of tools, and other items to numerous to mention.

A more detailed list of items to be sold can be found by visiting the department's facebook page at McCracken County Sheriff's Department or the Graves County Sheriff's Department's facebook page. 

"Many of the joint investigations between our two sheriff's departments have led to some of these seizures," said Hayden. "Sheriff Redmon and I agreed that having the joint auction was a way to continue our collaborative efforts. The property being sold Saturday consists of things seized during drug, theft, and other criminal investigations. In addition, there will be some items and vehicles sold that are county surplus property." 

The auction will be held this Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. The location for the auction will by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department's Public Safety Building located at 6th and Adams Street.

There will be restroom facilities available and concessions. The auction is being conducted by Robert Alexander Auctioneer.
