Carbondale police look for suspect after shooting

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

Carbondale police are looking for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a shooting Tuesday.

Police are looking for 35-year-old Donnelle Campbell. He is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, home invasion, and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Police responded to a home in the 700 block of North Robert A. Stalls Avenue around 7:11 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say the suspect unlawfully entered the home following multiple altercations between the victim and the suspect who are acquaintances.

After the suspect left the home, he and the victim had another fight which occurred in the 400 block of East Birch Street.

It was during this fight that police say the suspect shot the victim in the foot with a handgun.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Campbell has not yet been located and should be considered armed and dangerous.

His bond has been set at $1 million.

The investigation into the incident is continuing.
