Doniphan man facing charges after alleged shooting

DONIPHAN, MO (KFVS) -

Prosecutors say a Doniphan man is facing charges stemming from an alleged shooting incident on Thursday.

Darrell Rogers of Doniphan was charged with the following felonies: assault in the first degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

According to the Ripley County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Rogers has been accused of shooting Eric McCracken outside the victim's home on Chestnut Street around 8 p.m. Thursday.

Rogers was being held in the Doniphan City Jail under no bond.

A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday, May 22 in Ripley County Circuit Court.

The investigation is ongoing by Doniphan Police and Missouri Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime.
