SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Powerball tickets continue to fly off the shelves at stores across the country and here in Western Massachusetts.

"This jackpot has got people going crazy," said convenience store owner Muhammed Saleem.

Store owners across Western Massachusetts are trying to keep up with the onslaught of Powerball players, and everyone seems to have their own way of playing.

"Always pick the same numbers. That's the only way to do it," said West Springfield's Joanne Navone.

The jackpot is at $600 million, but the cash payout would be $376.9 million.

So what exactly would that amount of cash buy you here?

Well if you've got a sweet tooth, you could step on up to the Big E cream puff booth and feed everyone you know and then some with 100,506,666 of the treats.

If you're a thrill seeker, you could buy a Six Flags season pass for every single person in Boston, with a million to spare.

And do you love ice cream? Well, you could buy 73,469,785 Friendly's fribbles with the jackpot.

But everyone seems to have their own ideas.

"I'd pay off all my debts. I'd buy a couple new cars, take my wife on a cruise," said Al Parent, West Springfield.

But since you'd have a better shot at being attacked by a shark than winning the jackpot, most people aren't getting too ahead of themselves.

"I absolutely do not expect to win," said Chris Green of Springfield.

But still it's nice to dream, isn't it?

"If I really won $600 million by myself, there'd be a lot of thinking, but a lot of good things would come from it, absolutely," said Marty Green of West Springfield.
