Marion man killed in wreck Saturday night

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Marion man is dead following a traffic crash in rural Williamson County, Illinois.

According to Williamson County Coroner Junior Burke, it happened just before 5 p.m. on Saturday on Wards Mills Road.

Burke says 50-year-old Tony Winsor was southbound when he apparently lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of Market Road in Marion.

Winsor was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Burke says he was not wearing a seat belt.
