US 51 in Hickman County bock after semi crash takes out power lines

HICKMAN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

US 51 is closed in Hickman County after a semi crashed and took out some power lines. The crash is about 1/2 mile south of the KY 58 intersection, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

KYTC personnel and emergency services are manning road blocks and providing drivers with detour instructions.

The roadway is expected to be blocked until about 5 a.m.to allow utility personnel to untangle the power lines and get the site cleared.
