Gamecocks to travel to Chapel Hill for Super Regionals

The University of South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to Chapel Hill, NC to take on the Tar Heels in the Super Regionals.

The Tar Heels (55-9) punched their ticket to the next round by defeating Florida Atlantic 12-11 Monday night in 13 innings.

The super regional at Boshamer Stadium is scheduled to begin on Friday, June 7 with first pitch at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Saturday's game is scheduled for Noon and will be televised on ESPN. The if necessary game for Sunday will start at 1 p.m. and be televised on ESPN.

South Carolina is making its 11th NCAA Super Regional appearance in the last 14 years, one of only two schools in the country to have accomplished the feat in that span.

The Gamecocks beat Liberty Monday afternoon 6-4 to win the Columbia Regional.
