Tenn. reverend indicted for allegedly trying to kill wife

OBION COUNTY, TN (KFVS) -

The District Attorney for Obion and Weakley Counties said a grand jury indicted two people Monday on conspiracy to commit first degree murder and attempt to commit first degree murder.

Edward Mallonee and Shelly Moran were indicted for allegedly trying to kill Mallonee's wife.

Police Chief Perry Barfield said Mallonee is not in custody, but is expected to turn himself in Friday. The chief said Moran is in custody.

According to the District Attorney, Mallonee is the reverend of the Second Baptist Church of Union City.

Their arraignment is set for Monday, June 10 in the Obion County circuit court.
