Paducah man injured in morning motorcycle crash

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah man had to be hospitalized after a motorcycle crash Thursday morning.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Kreb Station Road and Old Mayfield Road in Paducah, Kentucky.

Officers say Wendell Janes, 60, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Kreb Station Road (KY 999) when he rear-ended a Dodge van driven by Mary Williams, 57, of Paducah.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, Williams was stopped at a stop sign southbound on Kreb Station Road at the intersection with Old Mayfield Road. Janes topped a hill and lost control of the motorcycle when he realized he wasn’t able to stop in time to avoid colliding with the van.

Janes was taken by Mercy EMS to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was cited to court on a charge of no registration plate.

The Hendron Fire Department assisted at the scene.
