PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A McCracken County Humane Society volunteer is facing theft charges.

Erika M. Bellamy, 33, of Paducah was charged with receiving stolen property under $500.

According to Sgt. Darrin Frommeyer, the humane society had reported several cash thefts totaling around $350.

An employee contacted detectives on Saturday morning about $170 missing from the building. Detectives responded to the humane society and reviewed surveillance video.

Erika Bellamy, a Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP) volunteer, was allegedly seen on the video taking the money.

When detectives confronted Bellamy, they say $170 was recovered. Bellamy also allegedly admitted to being involved in the two previous thefts.

Bellamy was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The sheriff's office says additional theft charges are pending.
