Sheriff testing evidence to answer Perry County shooting questions

Posted: Updated:
PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf says they are still investigating a shooting that left a Perryville couple dead.

He says the shooting happened at 36-year-old Shawn Galeski's grandmother's house.

Galeski and his girlfriend, 29-year-old Jamie Cole, were found dead in a locked upstairs bedroom.

Investigators say both died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Now, officers are testing some evidence found at the scene in hopes of answering some questions surrounding the shootings.

The sheriff says they still don't know who shot who, they're working to determine if it's a double suicide or a murder suicide.
