The Birmingham City Council talked about a controversial billboard near the airport Tuesday.
The council unanimously approved a resolution asking the owners of the controversial "sugar daddy" billboard to take it down.
The owners of ArrangementFinders.com, so far, say they have no intention of taking the billboard down. A spokesperson said that after the billboard went up, more than 1,000 locals signed up on the site. The company says that they plan to expand their presence in the state.
The Jefferson County Commission also passed a resolution asking that the billboard be taken down. Their resolution is symbolic since the billboard is in Birmingham city limits. Commission President David Carrington says that at this point, it will be up to the public to persuade the owner to take the billboard down.
