JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

A man and woman from Jackson face drug charges after a search warrant uncovers what agents call an elaborate meth lab operating inside a home on East Jefferson.

Angela Craft, 52, and Kenneth Speakman, 50, are charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, and possessing drug paraphernalia with the intent to use.

Officers removed evidence from the home Wednesday afternoon.

Agents from the SEMO Drug Task Force joined members of the Jackson Police Department in executing the meth-related warrant.

Task force member Mike Alford describes the extensive indoor operation.

"We received information that the lab was occurring, the production of methamphetamine was occurring here on the property," Alford said. "We received a search warrant based on that information. The labs, from the amount of items that were received, appears to be going on for some time. The ventilation system was actually being ventilated out of the ceiling fan and the vent out of one of the bathrooms. So this was a permanent location. This wasn't like a mobile meth lab or a one time thing. This was something that was well thought out."
