JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Authorities in Jefferson County are investigating a motorcycle crash that killed two people late Friday night.

According to the Jefferson County coroner, it happened at 9:18 p.m. Friday near the Woodlawn Lane Shell Station at Illinois Highway 15.

Jefferson County deputies were called to the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck. Investigators say the pickup was attempting to enter the Shell gas station and turned in front of a west-bound motorcycle.

Billy Philpot, 52 of Vandalia and 49-year-old Debra Graham of Mt. Vernon were on the motorcycle. Both were pronounced dead at 9:58 p.m. by Coroner Eddie Joe Marks.
