3 arrested for meth after search warrants served in Dunklin Co.

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Three people were arrested Friday, June 21 after the Dunklin County Sheriff's Office and SEMO Drug Task Force served search warrants on homes in Dunklin County.

The search warrants were issued by the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for homes located at 20812 CR 426 and 20816 CR 426. During the search, deputies say they found one active meth lab, one completed meth lab and a some meth on a person.

Those arrested include:

  • Susan D. McElwrath, 49, from Kennett. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and her bond was set at $50,000 cash only.
  • Steven L. McElwrath, 51, also from Kennett was charged with attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance a Class B felony and possession of a controlled substance a Class C felony. His bond was set at $75,000 cash only.
  • Thomas William Taylor from Kennett, Mo. was charged with possession of a controlled substance a Class C felony. His bond was set at $50,000 cash only. He was also arrested under the authority of a probation and parole warrant as a result of a probation violation.
The three will make their court appearances in Circuit Court on Tuesday, June 24 at 9 a.m.
