SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (KFVS) -

More than a million Americans are living with HIV and nearly 20-percent of them don't know it.

They can change that on Thursday for National HIV Testing Day when free testing is offered all across the country.

So, who needs to be tested?

"Everyone between the ages of 15 and 65 and then anyone outside that range who has risk factors," says Dr. Erica Kaufman. "People who are 70 having unprotected sex or people that are 13 using IV drugs, those are people that need to be tested." she said.
