1 injured in motorcycle, pickup truck crash

RANDOLPH COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

One person was injured when a motorcycle and pickup truck crashed Thursday in Randolph County.

Thomas S. Wells, 23, of Steeleville was driving a motorcycle eastbound on IL Route 50, west of IL Route 4 when a pickup driven by Rebecca L. Hale, 21, of Thebes stopped to make a left turn into a private drive.

The motorcycle ran into the rear of the pickup truck. It happened at 6:05 p.m.

Wells was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Memorial Hospital in Chester with major injuries and was later airlifted to a St. Louis area hospital.

Hale was not injured.
