Gunman robs Dickerson Pike hotel; police release surveillance pics

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Detectives in Nashville are working to identify the gunman who early Monday morning robbed a motel.

The robber occurred at the Sleep Inn located at 3200 Dickerson Pike around 12:15 a.m.

The gunman entered the hotel and demanded money from the register at gunpoint.

He fled on foot with a small amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black man who is about 5'8" tall and 150 pounds.

His face was visible through a black scarf he wore as a mask. He is apparently missing several teeth and has multiple tattoos on his right arm.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect from the surveillance photos below is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
