Galatia woman facing DUI charges after crash

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A Galatia woman is facing DUI charges after a crash into a wooded area Sunday night in Saline County.

Misty D. Biggs, 39, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended.

According to Illinois State Police, Biggs was driving westbound on Masonic Park Road around 9 p.m., just east of Parker Road, and lost control of her Toyota Avalon. The Toyota then crashed into a wooded area.

Misty Biggs and James Biggs, a passenger, were taken to a Harrisburg hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Troopers say Misty Biggs was released into the custody of Saline Correctional staff.

ISP was assisted at the scene by the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Eldorado Fire Department and Med Force Ambulance.
