KSP investigating bank robbery in Calloway County

HAZEL, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police are looking for a suspect following a bank robbery that happened in Hazel on Wednesday morning.

According to KSP, on 9:11 a.m., a black male entered the BB&T Bank armed with a gun and demanded money from a teller.

The teller then handed over an unknown amount of money to the suspect.

The suspect then left the bank and ran off in an unknown direction. The robber was described as a black male approximately 6’0” to 6’6” with a slim build.

The robber was wearing light colored pants, a long sleeve red plaid shirt, a ball cap and some type of clothing covering his face and head. The robber was armed with a handgun and is considered to be “armed and dangerous”.

KSP is leading the investigation and is being assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Henry County Sheriff's Office.
