The Regional Command Southwest has released images of U.S. Army soldiers remembering a fallen comrade and Birmingham native.

U.S. Army Pfc. Errol D. Milliard was killed July 4 while serving in Afghanistan. Last Friday, members of the 307th Battalion remembered Milliard at Shindad Air Base in Afghanistan.

Soliders saluted the memorial display of Milliard and offered challenge coins, patches and prayers for the fallen soldier.

Milliard's family held his funeral July 14-15 in New York.
