SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

The Selma Police Dept. is asking for the public's help in locating two suspects in an attempted murder case that occurred Thursday.

Authorities say they want to know the location of Nelson Ellis, 55, and Leon Ellis, 17, in reference to the shooting of a person in the 1600 block of Vickery Street Thursday morning.

Selma PD says it's holding 1 felony warrant for attempted murder & 2 misdemeanor warrants of reckless endangerment for each suspect.

Police say the men should be considered armed and dangerous.

They were last seen in a red Chevrolet HHR with a Pennsylvania License Plate. They are believed to be fleeing to the Birmingham-Hoover area.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of these men should call 911 or 334-874-6611.

Bonds on both men total $262,000 a piece.

Attempted murder is a Class A Felony in the State of Alabama and is punishable by death or life imprisonment without parole in State Prison.

Reckless Endangerment is a Class A misdemeanor and thus the punishment is not more than one(1) year in the County Jail.
