MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

As the Montgomery Biscuits celebrate their 10th anniversary in the Capital City, they're also celebrating increased ticket sales.

Thanks to new promotions introduced at the beginning of the season, marketing directors say people have a renewed interest in visiting Riverwalk Stadium.

Weekend ticket sales are up nearly 40% on some nights.  This after owners say ticket sales had seen a decline in previous years.

Freebie Fridays, Thirsty Thursday and a new promotion called Eat-A-Palooza offer chances to win free items, enjoy drink specials and buy a ticket for All You Can Eat ballpark food.

Marking Director David Ruchman says the promotions came as a result of fresh thinking and simply talking with customers.  He says customers asked for value when visiting the park and directors say that's what they'll get.
