WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

State police told CBS 3 that five people were arrested around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

A trooper pulled over a Chevy Malibu for a motor vehicle infraction and during the course of the stop, the trooper found a loaded, fully automatic, Tech-9 machine-pistol.

The driver of the vehicle was Jose Espinosa-Dejesus, 26, of Holyoke.

The arrested passengers included a 17-year-old juvenile from Holyoke and a 17-year-old from Philadelphia. The other two arrested were Winston Meijas, 19, and 18-year-old Alexander Cirino. Both Meijas and Cirino are also from Philadelphia.

The five are being held for arraignment in Springfield District Court. They are facing multiple gun charges.

Espinosa-Dejesus was also charged with a marked lanes violation.
