Fort Worth, TX (WAFB) -

With only 23 days left until LSU opens the 2013 season against TCU, it's the coaches and not the players providing the bulletin board material leading up to the game.

In the past few weeks TCU has lost several players for the opener against the Tigers. Offensive guard Michael Thompson, left tackle Tayo Fabuluje and linebacker Joel Hasley have all left the team for various reasons.

Earlier in the year, TCU head coach Gary Patterson suspended star defensive end Devonte Fields for two games due to violation of university and team policy.

With Jeremy Hill's reinstatement to the team on Monday, Patterson was asked for his thoughts on Les Miles' decision to allow Hill back on the team.

In an interview with the Fort Worth Star Telegram the TCU coach said, "My whole team would vote Devonte to be back on the team because they all want to win.  That doesn't teach life lessons."

Patterson went on to say, "I'm sure if it was some opponent they'd beat by 100 points [the players] wouldn't have a vote. It's not my worry. I've got to play whoever they put on the field."

Blake Sims was good enough to finish his first start at quarterback for Alabama, getting plenty of help from Amari Cooper, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry, and the second-ranked Crimson Tide held off West Virginia...
Blake Sims took a seat on the bench next to Jake Coker after leading Alabama to a score and the two chatted for a few minutes before it was time for the offense to go back on the field.
