Auburn Tigers take practice to Jordan Hare Stadium Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

The Auburn Tigers held two practices on Tuesday, scrimmaging in the morning at Jordan-Hare Stadium before returning for an evening workout session at the Auburn Athletics Complex practice fields.

"Today we got a little work done in the stadium," offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said after practice. "Jonathan (Wallace), Nick (Marshall) and Jeremy (Johnson) all took reps and it was a good day."

Talking about the Auburn quarterback race, Lashlee said, "It comes down who is going to earn the respect of their teammates, who is the team going to believe in, who does the offense believe in, who is going to protect the ball, and who do we feel like we can trust. Even if it is a simple game plan or a big game plan, they are going to be able to execute what we ask them to."

Wednesday is an off-day in the Tigers' practice schedule.  Auburn's season opener is Saturday, August 31, at Jordan-Hare Stadium versus Washington State in a 6 p.m. Central kickoff.
