Man injured in McCracken Co. motorcycle crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

McCracken Co. deputies were dispatched to an injury crash at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and Lovelaceville Road around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday.

An investigation showed that Joyce Emerson, 74, of Mayfield, was operating a 2006 Toyota Camry northbound on Lone Oak Road when she tried to make a left turn onto Lovelaceville Road. Daniel Farmer, 35, of Wingo was driving a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Lone Oak Road.

Deputies say Emerson failed to yield the right of way to Farmer when she attempted to make a left turn onto Lovelaceville Road and into the path of Farmer.

Farmer hit the front passenger fender of Emerson’s vehicle. Farmer was ejected from his motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet.

He was taken to Western Baptist Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
