CARBDONALE, IL (KFVS) -

There is a new farmers market in Carbondale that is sure to please everyone looking for fresh produce to cook and eat.

The Carbondale Community Farmers Market set up their produce stands on Saturday morning at the Carbondale Community High School.

The growers are offering people a wide array of fruits and vegetables to enjoy.

They are also hosting some learning activities about gardening and preparing and canning food.

One of the things that set this farmers market aside from the other in the area, is truly their produce.

"But what we're really looking at being able to provide the local community access to high quality certified organic or sustainable grown local food," said Angie Kuhl with the Carbondale Community Farmer's Market.

The Carbondale Community Farmers Market will be at the Carbondale Community High School every Saturday from 9 a.m. To 1 p.m., and they're even going to be there during the winter months.
