NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Four men were arrested in Nashville on Wednesday following two separate armed robberies, including one suspect who has a previous conviction for armed robbery.

Police say a man was sitting in his parked van outside the Comfort Suites on Elm Hill Pike when Ryan Pittman, 28, allegedly approached with a short-barreled shotgun and demanded the man's wallet.

When Pittman saw the wallet was empty, police said he forced the victim to the passenger seat so he could drive to an ATM.

In the process, the victim grabbed the shotgun and, with help from another citizen, subdued Pittman until officers arrived. An alleged accomplice in the hold-up, 29-year-old Blake Bartelson, fled the scene but was soon arrested, police said.

Pittman is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted kidnapping and attempted carjacking and was jailed on $170,000 bond. Bartelson is charged with aggravated robbery and was jailed on $50,000 bond.

In a separate incident Wednesday, police said convicted robber Aaron Donte Evans Jr., 23, and Prince Kennedy Jr., 25, robbed a man at gunpoint in the parking lot of Graycroft Apartments on Starr Boulevard.

A witness reported a description of the suspects and their vehicle, a blue Dodge Charger, that helped officers locate the suspects on Old Hickory Boulevard.

Evans and Kennedy are both charged with aggravated robbery. Evans was faces additional charges related to the assault of his girlfriend, police said, and was jailed on $80,000 bond. Kennedy is jailed on $75,000 bond.
