2 injured in Calloway County crash

CALLOWAY COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police responded to an injury collision at the intersection of US Highway 641 and Radio Road in Calloway County, Kentucky. It happened around 7:35 a.m. Friday.

According to state police, Jennifer Walker, 33, of Calvert City was traveling south on Radio Road and was trying to cross US 641. As Walker got into the northbound lanes of US 641, she was hit by a vehicle driven by Amanda Schurk, 19, of Florissant, Mo.

Both Walker and Schurk were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision and received only minor injuries.

Walker was taken to Murray Calloway County Hospital for her injuries, but was treated and released.

The investigation continues by Trooper Jody Cash. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Murray-Calloway EMS and Calloway County Fire/Rescue.
