Union Pacific train stalled in West Frankfort

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (KFVS) -

A Union Pacific train has moved, freeing up several railroad crosses that were blocked earlier this evening.

According to the West Frankfort Fire Department, shortly before 6 p.m., a Union Pacific train had engine problems and stalled on the tracks. 

The train was blocking all railroad crossings expect the crossing on Woody road.  But now, the crossing on Cleveland Street is the only one blocked.

There's no word on when the train will get moving again.

    Caruthersville Officers said they arrested 25-year-old Alexander Jackson of Caruthersville on an active warrant through Caruthersville Municipal Court for domestic assault.
