METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) -
Super City CrossFit and the Metropolis Fire Department teamed up in a national fundraising effort to support the families of several fallen firefighters on Saturday.

Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots firefighting team tragically lost their lives on June 30, 2013 while fighting a fire in Yarnell, Arizona.

These heroes were part of an elite wildland firefighter crew, and several of their members were avid CrossFitter's.

CrossFit gyms all over the world hosted a memorial workout benefiting the families of the 19 "hotshots" who died that day.

Super City CrossFit in Metropolis raised $660.
