BRECKSVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Authorities appeared to be using a chain saw Thursday afternoon to search for more evidence where Taylor Robinson's remains were found in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The remains were found Monday in a remote area off a trail.

Officials want to investigate the area thoroughly and say they are treating Robinson's death as a homicide.

The 19-year-old Akron teen was last seen May 3, when she was dropped off at a home in the 700 block of Kipling Avenue in Akron for her job as a home health care aide.

Her family went through an agonizing search, handing out fliers and holding prayer vigils,  which all came to an end this week when her remains were found.

According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, Robinson's remains will be sent to Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. The University has forensic anthropology experts that specialize in outdoor crime scenes with scattered remains.

Robinson's family is offering a $4,000 reward to the person who has information that can help solve the case and bring justice.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Akron Police Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490.
