BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A man accused of kidnapping a woman and saying he was going to kill her was sentenced on Thursday.

Robert Reynolds, 23, of Bollinger County, Missouri withdrew a not guilty plea and pleaded guilty in a plea agreement.

Reynolds received four years in Missouri Department of Corrections for county two domestic assault.

The case was heard in Butler County on a change of venue from Bollinger County.

In July 2012, a judge found probable cause to continue the case against Reynolds.

Reynolds had been accused in 2012 of attacking a woman at her home then forcing her into his truck.

According to the probable cause statement, Reynolds allegedly told the woman he was going to kill her and bury her body.

The woman says Reynolds allegedly changed his mind and took her back to the home where he started apologizing.

The woman says she was eventually able to get away.

Police later arrested Reynolds for allegedly stealing gas from a gas station.
