FFA and 4-H Public Speaking Contest held at the SEMO District Fair

Coleman Erwin, Fredericktown FFA Chapter - 3rd Place; Jack Davis, Farmington, FFA Chapter - 4th place; Amanda Krewson, Jackson FFA Chapter - 1st place; Maria Culvert, Leopold 4-H – 2nd Place; and Ryan Schumer, Perryville FFA Chapter - 5th place. CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

The FFA and 4-H Public Speaking contest was held Saturday, September 14 at the SEMO District Fair.

4-H and FFA students have an opportunity to develop their speaking skills while providing information about Fairs and Festivals.

Five contestants presented their speeches on a Fair related topic.

Amanda Krewson representing the Jackson FFA Chapter won first place with her speech “Fair and Festivals: Why do we keep Coming Back?”

The winner will represent the Southeast Missouri area in the State contest held during the Missouri Association of Fairs and Festivals Annual Convention this winter.
