HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban said he is staying with the Tide Thursday, responding to reports that his agent talked to a representative from the University of Texas.

The talk reportedly happened in January, just a few days after Alabama's last national title win. According to the Associated Press, Saban's agent talked to a Texas regent and former regent.

The AP reported that the parties talked about the possibility of the Crimson Tide coach replacing Longhorns coach Mack Brown.

During the coach's weekly radio show Thursday night, Saban said he knew nothing about it, and has not spoken to anyone about that particular situation.

Saban added that he is too old to start over someplace else, and that he and his wife Terry are happy at Alabama.
