An officer with the Mound City Police Department pleaded guilty to a deer poaching charge in Iowa.

According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Jesse Bolin pleaded guilty to unlawfully taking a buck deer, no valid hunting license, deer license or tag.

Now, he has to pay more than $1200 in civil penalties and fines, do 100 hours of community service, and forfeit his equipment seized by the DNR.

Authorities say two other men also face charges in the incident after finding 23 illegal deer racks, 12 turkey beards and spurs, deer meat, pheasant meat and geese and ducks waiting to be mounted.

At the Jesse Bolin home, officers seized the deer he killed in Iowa, bow and archery equipment, double bull blind and a video camera.

Bolin's hunting privileges were suspended for one year. He faces a possible suspension in the 40 member states of the Wildlife Violator Compact and also faces hunting violations in Missouri.
